Bodiam Castle NT - by bus
A perfect example of a late medieval moated castle, the exterior is virtually complete.

Bus: 304/5 from station (cross to the opposite side of the road) to Hawkhurst Bus Station
(30 minutes journey), then change for bus 349 to Bodiam Castle Hotel near the Castle entrance (13 minutes journey).
The buses operate M-S only, bus 304/5 is hourly, but bus 349 is only every 2 hours. Most 349 journeys provide a good
connection at Hawkhurst and the total bus journey is usually 50-55 minutes.

A 10½ mile preserved steam railway from Tenterden to Bodiam.
