A Jacobean house with State Rooms rich in paintings, fine furniture, rare tapestries and historic armour. Guided tours M-F only. The 42 acres of gardens include formal, knot, scented and wilderness areas which reflect their Jacobean origins. A wing of the Royal Palace of Hatfield survives in the gardens. Extensive parkland.
