Shoreham map An attractive village in the Darent Valley, home of the artist Samuel Palmer. The chalk Cross was cut into the hillside in 1920 as a memorial to local people who died in the First World War. The Darent Valley Path LDP passes close to Shoreham station. From the station by footpath it is about 2 miles to Otford station and about 3 miles to Eynsford station.
