Barnes map Wetland Centre - 1 mile or by bus then ¼ mile
A wetland landscape covering more than 100 acres near the heart of London. Over 160 wild bird species, butterflies, moths, dragonflies and amphibians. World Wetlands area with ducks, geese and swans from around the world. Bird watching hides, observatory, pond dipping sessions and wildlife gardens. Introductory film show, art gallery and indoor Discovery Centre. Café. Tel. 020 8409 4400.
Open*: Daily 0930-1800, closes 1700 Nov-Mar, last admission 1 hour before closing. Late opening until 2000 on Thursdays May-mid Sep.

Bus: 33 or 72 from station to Barnes, Red Lion, then ¼ mile. Daily, frequent, 3 minutes journey, 33 timetable, 72 timetable. Buses operate to the Wetland Centre entrance from Hammersmith and this is the best route from Central London.
