Sutton House NT - ¼ mile (Hackney Central), ½ mile (Hackney Downs)
A Tudor house with a fascinating history. Oak-panelled rooms, carved fireplaces. Art Gallery. Tearoom. Tel. 020 8986 2264.

Hackney map Walking route to Sutton House from Hackney Central station:

  1. Use the pedestrian crossing by the station exit to cross to The Railway Tavern.
  2. Walk round the corner and use the zebra crossing to the Bus Depot.
  3. Walk diagonally through the churchyard.
  4. Carry on straight ahead along Sutton Place to the end.
  5. Turn right at the end - Sutton House is in front of you.
