A grand 18th century Palladian mansion. Collections of furniture, porcelain and pictures. The gardens contain a grotto, sunken Dutch garden and a Maori meeting house. Restaurant. Tel. 01483 222482.
The Queen's Royal Surrey Regiment Museum is based at Clandon Park and open on the same days 1200-1700.

Hatchlands Park NT - 2 miles
An 18th century mansion with interiors by Robert Adam, set in parkland landscaped by Repton. On display is a large display of keyboard instruments. Small garden by Gertrude Jekyll. Restaurant. Pedestrians can approach Hatchlands Park through East Clandon village, there is no need to walk via the A246 to the main entrance. Tel. 01483 222482.
Open*: Apr-Oct, House TWThSu & BH (also F in Aug) 1400-1730, Park daily 1100-1800.
