An old market town with many attractive buildings. West Street is particularly interesting and
is famous for its antique dealers. Note that Dorking has three stations on two different lines!
The North Downs Way LDP passes about ¾ mile north of Dorking, the Greensand Way LDP
passes about ¾ mile south, and the Mole Gap Trail passes through Dorking.

The short walk (less than ¼ mile) between Dorking and Deepdene stations provides a convenient interchange between Dorking's two railway lines.
Dorking & District Museum - West St
A local history museum housed in buildings that used to be the Dorking Foundry. Displays include
agricultural equipment, children's toys and memorabilia of the composer Ralph Vaughan Williams.

Box Hill NT - by bus
Over 800 acres of woodland and chalk downland with impressive views as far as
the South Downs. Nature walks. Information Centre and exhibition room at the summit.
