Claremont Landscape Garden NT - by bus (or 2¼ mile walk)
One of the earliest surviving English landscape gardens, restored by the National Trust. Features include a lake, island, grotto, turf amphitheatre, viewpoints and vistas. Tearoom (closed Mon & Tue). Tel. 01372 467806.
Open*: Apr-Oct, Daily 1000-1800 but Tearoom closed Mon & Tue. Nov-Mar, TWThFSSu 1000-1700.

Painshill Park - by bus
An 18th century landscape garden with lake, gothic temple, ruined abbey, grotto and giant water wheel. Refreshments. Tel. 01932 868113.

Wisley Garden - by bus
Extensive gardens of the Royal Horticultural Society covering a wide variety of styles from ornamental to fruit and vegetable gardens. Restaurant, Coffee Shop and cafés. Picnic area near car park. Tel. 01483 224234.
Open*: Daily 1000-1800 (closes 1630 Nov-Feb). Please see website for early closing dates in June.

Alight opposite Wisley's entrance and cross the busy and fast A3 with great care.
