Arundel map A picturesque town on the River Arun with a steep High Street and dominated by its Castle and Cathedral. There is an impressive view of Arundel from trains south of Arundel station. The Monarch's Way LDP passes through Arundel.

Arundel Castle - ½ mile
The ancestral home of the Dukes of Norfolk. An ancient castle which has been rebuilt and altered through the centuries. Fine collections of furniture, armour, clocks, tapestries and paintings. Restored Victorian kitchen and flower gardens. Restaurant. Tel. 01903 883136.

Arundel Wildfowl & Wetlands Centre - 1¼ miles (or 2½ miles by river path)
The pens and lakes in the water meadows beside the River Arun contain hundreds of the world's most spectacular swans, geese and ducks. Restaurant, café and picnic site. Tel. 01903 883355.
